Pashupati Paras’s RLJP has released the first list of 25 candidates for Bihar elections 2025. The party will not join the grand alliance, but will fight with like-minded parties. Paras’s son Yashraj Paswan is also included in this list.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of Bihar Assembly elections 2025, Pashupati Kumar Paras’s party Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) has released the list of 25 candidates for its first phase. Putting an end to long-running speculations, the party has made it clear that it will not be a part of the Grand Alliance, but will contest the elections in alliance with “like-minded parties”. The most talked about candidate in this list is Yashraj Paswan, who has been made the candidate from Alauli (SC) seat, he is the son of Pashupati Paras. The party has given priority to women, youth and Dalit candidates in its first list.
Names of 25 candidates are included in this list released under the leadership of RLJP National President Pashupati Kumar Paras and State President Prince Raj Paswan. Paras said, “Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party will contest the elections on the agenda of social justice, youth participation and development of Bihar.”
Many women candidates have been given a chance in this list. Like Poonam Yadav (Khagaria), Sunita Sharma (Beldaur), Neera Devi (Bakhri) and Diviya Bharti (Arwal). Along with this, by giving tickets to many candidates from Paswan and Mehtar community, the party has indicated to strengthen its social base.
