Rishabh Shetty was born on 7 July 1983 in a split family in Udupi district of Karnataka. He did his schooling from Kundapura in Udupi district of Karnataka and later enrolled at Vijaya College Bangalore to do B.Com. It was from here that he got the idea of going into acting.
Rishabh Shetty started his theater journey with Yakshagana plays in Kundapura. He actively participated in plays while studying in Bengaluru. His work was well liked. After the success in plays, he thought of making a career in acting. Started a job after completing graduation. They used to sell water cans. He worked in the hotel and also tried his luck in films. He then did a diploma in film direction from film and TV institute.
Rishabh Shetty’s luck shone and he got a chance to work in the film. He appeared in the 2012 film Tughlaq. He played a small role of a police officer in Pawan Kumar’s Lucia and then a special role in Ulidavaru Kandante directed by Rakshit Shetty. He appeared in other films including Kirik Party, Government Hi Pra Shale, Bel Bottom, Hero, Avne Srimannarayan, Garuda Gaman Vrishabh Vahana, Harikatha Alla Girikatha. His Kantara, who came in 2022, made him a star. The film, which came quietly, created a gathering. The movie made in the budget of 14 crores earned 450 crores.
