Less sweating in summer: Sweating in summer season is common. In summer, the body sweats to keep itself cool. But if the temperature is high and still you do not sweat or get very little, then it is not normal. Many people take it lightly and think that it is a good thing to not sweat because it will not wet clothes and avoid stickiness. But the truth is that not sweating the body can be a sign of a big problem inside.
When there is a temperature of more than 40 degrees outside and your body does not sweat to stay cold, then the heat gets stuck inside. This can increase the body’s temperature and can cause heat stroke. Many times this situation is not suddenly but slowly. You will feel that the sweat used to be as much as it was now. Or there is sweating in some parts of the body but not in the rest at all. These changes are not caused by any normal fatigue or lack of water, but the serious reason may be hidden behind it.
Why sweat less in summer?
Associate Professor Dr. Ajit Jain at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in Delhi It is said that reduced sweating is called hypohidrosis in medical language. If you do not sweat at all, it is called anhidrosis. It can be a symptom of any other disease, not a disease. Sometimes this problem occurs due to disturbances of nervous system. So sometimes due to problems in the skin or sweat glands. During this time, the body is unable to control its temperature properly and becomes more hot.
Now the question is, why does this happen?
There can be many reasons behind this. For example, some people have problems with less sweating from birth. In some cases diabetes, skin disorder, nerve damage or autoimmune diseases can also cause this. Some medicines also reduce sweat. And if you have ever taken radiation therapy, then even after that the ability to sweat can be affected.
When does a serious situation come?
But the real danger is when the sweat starts suddenly in the summer. It can indicate a major disease inside the body. Such as – a more serious problem than neurological disorder, skin disease or dehydration. Not sweating is a kind of body alarm that wants to tell you that something is wrong inside.
After all, what is the solution?
First of all it is important to identify when this problem has been and under what circumstances. If the sweat has stopped absolutely or is coming very little and there are symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, sharp heartbeat or fever with it, then a doctor should be seen immediately. Doctors can find out the cause of blood tests and skin tests with physical examination. If the reason is a medicine, it can be advised to change it. If there is any disease, then its treatment is started.
Sweating is a natural and essential process of the body. It can prove to be dangerous for you or not to come down or not, ignoring during summer days. The most correct solution is to investigate and get treatment in time.
