On the basis of CLAT 2026, National Law Universities will conduct counseling for admission to their five-year integrated UG and PG programmes. Counseling will be held in five rounds. During counselling, students will have three options – freeze i.e. accept the seat, float i.e. search for a better option and exit i.e. withdrawal from counselling.

CLAT 2026 important details

This examination was conducted on 7 December 2025 at 126 examination centers across the country. A total of 92,000 candidates had registered. Of these, 75,009 appeared in the UG examination and 17,335 in the PG examination. This time 96.01% candidates appeared in the examination. This year, 57% girls, 43% boys and 9 transgender candidates appeared in the exam. Now the real journey of admission has started for the successful candidates of CLAT 2026.
