When Vinod Khanna Spoke About Losing Control While Filming Intimate Scene With Madhuri Dixit: I’m No Saint, Need S*x

Vinod Khanna, one of Bollywood’s most celebrated stars, carved a niche for himself during an era dominated by legends like Sunil Dutt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Rishi Kapoor.

Known for his charismatic screen presence and dashing looks, Vinod began his film journey in 1968, initially portraying negative roles. Over the years, he gained immense popularity through films such as Mere Apne, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Achanak, Amar Akbar Anthony, and Qurbani. Beyond acting, he was also known for his spiritual pursuits and later, his political career. Vinod Khanna passed away in 2017 after battling cancer, leaving behind a rich legacy-but not without controversy. One such controversy that remains etched in Bollywood’s memory involves actress Madhuri Dixit and a scene from their 1988 film, Dayavan.

The scene that sparked outrage

During the shoot of Dayavan, a film featuring the iconic song Aaj Phir Tum Pe Pyaar Aaya Hai, Vinod Khanna and Madhuri Dixit were required to film an intimate sequence. At the time, Vinod was already a major star, while Madhuri was just beginning her ascent in the industry. According to reports by BollywoodShaadis.com, while filming the romantic scene, Vinod allegedly lost control and continued to kiss Madhuri even after the director called for a cut. What shocked everyone was that the kissing went on for nearly five minutes, during which Vinod reportedly bit Madhuri’s lips, causing her to bleed. The young actress was left in tears, and Vinod later apologised for his actions.
