Generally, in women who do not breastfeed, periods can start again within 6 to 8 weeks. Whereas in women who breastfeed regularly, it may take 6 months or more for periods to arrive.
In some cases, periods do not come even after a year, which can be considered normal. Periods may be irregular in the beginning, sometimes bleeding is more and sometimes less or it is also common for the cycle time to go back and forth. Gradually the body returns to normal state and the periods cycle also starts becoming regular.
How dangerous is it to not arrive on time?
