Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan is known not only for her films but also for her humorous and candid personality. She often shares interesting anecdotes from her life during interviews. On one such occasion, she revealed a surprising incident from her school days when she threw a bottle of Fevicol at a ceiling fan, an incident that nearly led to her suspension from school.
Sara Ali Khan was born on August 12, 1995, in Mumbai. She is the daughter of actor Saif Ali Khan and actress Amrita Singh. Coming from a family with strong connections to the film industry, Sara studied at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai and later pursued a degree in History and Political Science at Columbia University in the United States.
In an interview, Sara recalled her school days and said that although she was good at academics, she was also quite mischievous. It was during this conversation that she revealed the Fevicol incident.
Sara said that she was not particularly interested in her Geography class. During the class, she threw a bottle of glue toward the ceiling fan. The bottle broke, causing Fevicol to spread over the fan and the surrounding area. The incident became so serious that she nearly faced suspension from school.
After completing her studies, Sara decided to pursue acting as a career. She has said that she realized she wanted to become an actress while studying at Columbia University. Before entering the film industry, she also worked extensively on her fitness.
In 2018, Sara made her Bollywood debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s film ‘Kedarnath’, opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. She played the role of Mukku and attracted attention with her very first film.
The same year, Sara appeared in her second film, ‘Simmba’, directed by Rohit Shetty and co-starring Ranveer Singh. While she portrayed a more serious character in ‘Kedarnath’, ‘Simmba’ showcased her lively and bubbly side. Releasing two different films in the same year gave Sara an early opportunity to explore diverse roles.
She received several awards for her performance in ‘Kedarnath’, including the Filmfare, IIFA and Screen Awards.
Sara subsequently appeared in films such as ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Coolie No. 1’, ‘Atrangi Re’, ‘Gaslight’, ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’, ‘Murder Mubarak’, ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ and ‘Sky Force’. In 2025, she was also seen in ‘Metro… In Dino’. Despite experiencing several ups and downs in her career, Sara continues to remain active in the film industry.
