A 24-year-old youth committed suicide in Ludhiana. It is alleged that after helping his ex-wife send him to Britain, he had stopped picking up the phone. Police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against the woman and her parents.
Ludhiana: After reaching Britain, a young man committed suicide due to his ex-wife not picking up his phone calls. Police have registered a case against the ex-wife. This incident is from Ludhiana. Ludhiana Police has registered a case against a woman named Kiran Deep Kaur and her parents. 24 year old Sunil Kumar, resident of Ludhiana, has committed suicide. Kiran Deep Kaur married someone else after divorcing 24-year-old Sunil. After this she went to Britain on student visa. Sunil Kumar committed suicide alleging that the woman had stopped answering his phone calls after going to Britain. However, the 24-year-old’s family alleges that the divorce and second marriage took place with Sunil Kumar’s knowledge and all this was an easy way to reach Britain.
Police registered a case against the ex-wife and her parents
Kirandeep Kaur went to Britain in August this year. After this, the woman stopped responding to Sunil Kumar’s phone calls and messages. Fed up with this, the young man committed suicide by jumping into a canal in Gadi Togada. The young man committed suicide on Monday. In this case, Ludhiana Police has registered a case of abetment to suicide against the woman’s parents and Kirandeep Kaur, resident of Bahadurpur village. Sunil Kumar’s mother has filed this complaint.
According to Sunil Kumar’s mother’s complaint, her son had also attended Kirandeep Kaur’s second marriage, but when his ex-wife stopped picking up the phone, he could not bear the shock and committed suicide. In this case, allegations like cheating, abetment of suicide and conspiracy have been made. Sunil Kumar’s sister alleges that the woman’s parents forced her to divorce and then got her married again. It is also alleged that the 24 year old man had even sold his land to send his ex-wife abroad.
