What’s Unique About The New BMW G310RR Limited Edition? Explained

BMW Motorrad has launched a new G 310 RR Limited Edition to mark 10,000 unit sales of the sport bike in India. Priced at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the model costs about Rs 18,000 more than the standard version and features several cosmetic and functional upgrades to underline its exclusivity.

The G 310 RR Limited Edition stands out visually with new aerodynamic bodywork, revised graphics and special decals across the fairing, wheel rims and body panels. A ‘1/310’ badge highlights the limited production run. The rest of the specifics stay the same. You continue to get the Champion’s Dome fairing, Ram Air intake, full-LED headlights, a large visor and blacked-out handlebars. Gold upside-down forks, an aluminium swingarm and Michelin Pilot Street radial tyres are also offered.

Power comes from the familiar 312 cc, water-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 33.52 hp and 27.3 Nm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a race-tuned anti-hopping clutch designed to reduce engine braking during aggressive downshifts and improve safety under hard braking.

The motorcycle retains four riding modes: Track, Urban, Sport and Rain. Track mode allows later braking and sharper throttle response, Sport mode maximises acceleration and deceleration, Urban mode balances response for traffic, and Rain mode adjusts ABS and throttle sensitivity for wet conditions. Ride-by-wire with an electronic throttle ensures precise input and prevents stalling at start-up.

A torsionally stiff tubular steel frame, upside-down front fork and directly mounted rear monoshock provide stability and neutral cornering. BMW says the geometry remains optimised for both agility and everyday usability. Braking duties are handled by a dual-channel ABS system with rear-wheel lift-off protection.
