Bank holiday
Along with organizations representing farmers and rural laborers, many central trade unions have called for a nationwide strike called ‘Bharat Bandh’. This strike is being organized in protest against the policies of the government, about which unions claim that it is anti -labor and corporate supporter. With the gathering of farmers and agricultural laborers from rural areas of the country, the organizers hope that more than 25 crore employees from both formal and informal areas will participate in this protest. According to a report by the Times of India, Amarjeet Kaur of All India Trade Union Congress said that more than 25 crore employees are expected to participate in the strike. Farmers and rural employees will also participate in protests across the country. Harbhajan Singh Sidhu of Hind Mazdoor Sabha said that banking, post, coal mining, factory, state transport services will be affected due to the strike.
Will banks open tomorrow?
Banks will be open on 9 July 2025 during Bharat Bandh. So far, the Reserve Bank of India has not issued any order regarding the closure of the bank.
