UP budget 2026 for Mission Shakti: ₹ 44 thousand crore allocated for police modernization in UP budget 2026-27. Its aim is to strengthen cyber crime control, women safety, disaster management and fire service. From cyber police stations to modernisation, new vehicles will be purchased.
UP budget 2026: Yogi government has allocated an amount of more than Rs 44 thousand crore in the budget of year 2026-27 to make law and order more strong, modern and technology-rich. Its objective is to give new impetus to cyber crime control, disaster management, women and child safety, strengthening of fire services and modern policing. Under this, the cyber stations established at the headquarters and district level will be equipped with state-of-the-art resources to effectively control the increasing cyber crimes and sponsored cyber attacks in the state. For this, a provision of Rs 1215.60 lakh has been made for increasing resources in cyber police stations and purchasing vehicles. This will ensure quick investigation of cyber crimes, analysis of digital evidence and prompt action against criminals. Apart from this, a new scheme for setting up Cyber Security Operation Center has been mentioned in the budget, for which a provision of Rs 95 crore 16 lakh has been made.
Women beat personnel will get new vehicles for patrolling
Yogi government has allocated funds in the budget to strengthen the fire services keeping in mind the increasing industrialization, urbanization and incidents of fire in agricultural areas in the state. With the aim of reducing fire accidents in residential and non-residential premises and ensuring minimum damage in case of an accident, the fire fighting centers will be made fully functional. Along with this, a provision of Rs 19,000.00 lakh has been made for the purchase of vehicles and equipment to ensure quick access to the incident sites. Women and child safety has been paramount among the priorities of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In this sequence, to make women and child safety more effective under Mission Shakti, vehicles will be purchased by women beat personnel for field visits. A provision of Rs 2500.00 lakh has been made for this, which will further increase the activeness and sensitivity of the police in matters related to women’s safety.
New vehicles to be added to UP-112 fleet for Rs 2,751 lakh
Yogi government has also allocated a big budget in the field of disaster management. In such a situation, three new teams of State Disaster Relief Force (SDRF) will be fully operationalized to strengthen quick relief, rescue and rehabilitation operations during public events, divine and natural disasters and other emergency situations. A provision of Rs 1500.00 lakh has been made for the purchase of necessary equipment for these teams. This will make quick and effective action possible at the time of disaster. New vehicles will be purchased under the UP-112 scheme to strengthen law and order in the state, to realize the vision of a mafia-free state and to take prompt action against criminals. A budget provision of Rs 2751.00 lakh has been made for this. The UP-112 service has already proven its effectiveness as a quick response system of police in the state and the new vehicles will further enhance its capability.
Huge budget allocated to speed up scientific investigation of crimes
The budget also has a provision for establishment of ‘Corpus Fund’ to encourage the excellent work of the police force in effectively curbing drug trafficking. Under this, a provision of Rs 100.00 lakh has been made for reward and award related expenses. This will further strengthen the campaign against drug trade. Apart from this, special attention has also been paid to making the three newly constructed forensic science laboratories of the state fully functional. Innovative equipment will be procured to speed up scientific investigation of crimes and reduce the period of pending trials. For this, an additional provision of Rs 1000.00 lakh along with Rs 9000.00 lakh has been made under the above item in the financial year 2026-27, i.e. a total provision of Rs 10,000.00 lakh has been made.
