But on the second day, Abhinav increased his score of 130 runs and added 70 more runs. He reached double century in 301 balls. In this way, he became the first batsman from Goa and the 13th in history to score a double century in the very first match of Ranji Trophy. Before him, Gundappa Vishwanath, Amol Mazumdar, Jai Gohil, Anshuman Pandey, Manpreet Juneja, Jeevanjot Singh, Abhishek Gupta, Ajay Rohera, Mayank Raghav, Arslan Khan, Saqibul Ghani, Pawan Shah and Suved Parkar have also done this feat.

Lalit Yadav also scored a double century

Lalit Yadav also played a brilliant innings while playing his first match for Goa. This right-handed all-rounder scored the maximum of 213 runs with the help of 22 fours and 4 sixes. He made a partnership of 309 runs with Abhinav Tejrana. Because of this big partnership, the Goa team managed to score 566 runs in the first innings. However, Arjun Tendulkar was out after scoring only one run in this innings. But this player showed his bowling prowess and gave Goa its first success in his very second over.
