A surprising news has come from Narmadapuram railway station in Madhya Pradesh. Here on Tuesday evening, a mother pushed her 8 year old daughter in front of a speeding train. The girl is fighting a battle between life and death. He suffered serious injuries on his head, waist and shoulder and lost a lot of blood. When his condition deteriorated, he was put on ventilator and later referred to Bhopal. His condition still remains critical.
Committed such crime despite being a government employee
According to officials, the girl had come to the station with her mother. His mother is a government employee and lives in Malakhedi area. After the death of her husband, the woman got this job on compassionate grounds and lived alone with her daughter. The girl studied in second class. Narmadapuram GRP in-charge Sanjeev Chowksey said that the mother and daughter were waiting on the platform for about three hours before this horrific incident.
Girl thrown in front of Tamil Nadu Express
He said, “At around 7:40 pm, when the Tamil Nadu Express arrived at platform number 1, the woman suddenly pushed the child on the tracks. The child was hit by the engine and got stuck between the platform and the tracks. She suffered multiple injuries and must have been in a lot of pain. We are just hoping that she recovers.”
Innocent child escaped death by defying death
Officials also said that the woman was undergoing treatment for several years. After the train passed, the injured girl remained trapped between the platform and the tracks. Later the people present there and the railway employees ran and saved him. He was taken out and immediately taken to the hospital. Eyewitnesses claim that when they tried to save the child, the mother repeatedly told them not to save her. Police have registered the case and the investigation is also being looked at from the mental health angle. Police are investigating the medical history of the woman, while family members have also been informed.
