UP Government is Implementing Farmer Registry: UP Government is implementing Farmer Registry. Under this, after registering all the farmers, they will be given a farmer identity card. With this, benefits of various government schemes will be available from one place, with simplicity and transparency.

Lucknow, April 01: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while giving instructions to implement Farmer Registry on a large scale in the state, said that registration of all farmers should be ensured on priority basis. He directed that as soon as possible, special camps should be organized in every Gram Panchayat and farmers should be linked to the Farmer Registry, so that no eligible farmer is deprived of this system.

All schemes beneficial for farmers in UP Link

  • Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the state government is developing Farmer Registry as an integrated benefit delivery system in the agriculture sector. Under this, all the beneficiary schemes of the Agriculture Department and other related departments are being linked to the Farmer Registry, so that the farmers can get the benefits of various schemes in a simple and systematic manner on the basis of a single identity.
  • He directed that if there is any error or discrepancy in the names or records of the beneficiaries in other schemes including Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Crop Insurance Scheme, then it should be rectified on priority basis by linking it to Aadhaar. Besides, it should be ensured that farmer identity card is made for every eligible farmer, so that there is no hindrance in the distribution of benefits of the schemes and verification of eligibility can be facilitated.

Now farmers of UP will be digital

  • The Chief Minister said that the Agriculture Department should prepare the necessary technical arrangements to link all its schemes with the Farmer Registry within the stipulated time and the departmental portal should be made fully functional by May 1, 2026. Through this, the process of selection of beneficiaries and distribution of benefits can be conducted in a digital and integrated form. He also directed that allied departments like horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries, cooperation and minor irrigation should also coordinate with the agriculture department for the use of farmer identity cards in their schemes and complete the necessary preparations by May 31, 2026, so that a uniform system can be implemented in all the departments.
  • The Chief Minister said that the process of linking farmers with schemes through Farmer Registry will be more effective and unnecessary complications in availing benefits will be eliminated. This will make targeted use of resources possible and distribution of agricultural inputs required under special circumstances can be done in a more systematic manner. He said that with the implementation of this system, the benefits of the schemes will reach the farmers in a transparent manner and the situation of repeated benefits to the same beneficiary can also be easily reviewed. The Chief Minister directed all the concerned departments to take this work seriously and complete it within the time limit and ensure its regular monitoring.
