Vikas Gautam PAC Constable Death: The death under suspicious circumstances of Vikas Gautam, a soldier posted in the 9th Corps PAC complex of Moradabad, created a stir in the police department. Police are initially considering it as suicide, but no suicide note was found. The family has expressed suspicion of murder, investigation is ongoing.
A news has come out from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh which has shocked the police department. A soldier posted in the 9th Corps PAC complex died under suspicious circumstances. After this incident came to light, there was a stir in the entire police department. The deceased soldier has been identified as 34-year-old Vikas Gautam, who was a resident of Bhattipura village in Kithore area of Meerut district.
Dead body found in suspicious condition in PAC premises
This case pertains to 9th Battalion PAC Campus, which is located in Civil Lines police station area of Moradabad. It is being told that Vikas Gautam was found in a suspicious condition in his room. When fellow soldiers came to know about this, there was chaos in the PAC premises. On receiving the information, senior police officers reached the spot and inspected the entire incident site.
In the initial investigation, the police is considering it as a case of suicide, but no suicide note has been recovered from the spot. For this reason, the case is being considered suspicious and investigation is being done from many aspects.

Was deployed in police service since 2019
Vikas Gautam joined the police service in the year 2019. Presently he was posted as RTC Instructor in the 9th Corps of PAC. According to fellow soldiers, he was a very disciplined and calm person. His record during service has also been clean. However, police sources say that some changes were seen in his behavior for some time. In such a situation, it is feared that he was going through some mental stress.
The family got the news in Meerut, created chaos
As soon as the information about the incident reached the family, a wave of mourning ran in his native village in Meerut. Akash Gautam, brother of the deceased, said that he got information about this incident on phone between 10 and 10:30 in the morning. The entire family was shocked after hearing this news. The family members are in bad condition and crying. The family members are not ready to accept that Vikas can take such a step.
Family members expressed fear of murder
While the police is currently considering it a case of suicide, the family members have expressed suspicion of murder. The family says that Vikas was unmarried and was very serious about his work. In such a situation, his sudden death raises many questions. At present, the police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem. Also, investigation into the entire matter has been started.
Mobile call details and forensic investigation ongoing
The police are now resorting to technical and scientific methods to reach the truth of the matter. As part of the investigation, call details of Vikas Gautam’s mobile phone are being scrutinized to find out who he last talked to before the incident.
Apart from this, the field unit and forensic team have also collected many important evidences from the spot. Police officials say that the real cause of death will be clear only after the post-mortem report and forensic investigation. At present, this incident has become a big question for the PAC and the police department, the answer to which will be revealed only after the completion of the investigation.
