Emperor Vikramaditya also ruled in Kaliyuga like Satyayuga and like Lord Shri Ram. He was known as a great ruler due to his qualities of knowledge, justice, charity and bravery. For the first time, a grand staging of the great drama “Samrat Vikramaditya” took place on Monday evening. Seeing the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the audience, it was demonstrated again. This great drama presents the story of that inspirational man from the glorious past of Madhya Pradesh, who took Ujjaini and the land of Madhya Pradesh to the golden age on the strength of justice, policy and bravery. The indomitable courage of Emperor Vikramaditya, his patriotism and his dedication towards education and culture were vividly displayed in the staging.

Grand music, attractive sets, camels, elephants, horses, palanquins transported the audience to that era. The excellent acting of the artists left the audience emotional. This great drama was presented by the organization Vishala Cultural and Public Interest Committee of Ujjain, which was directed by Shri Sanjeev Malviya. State-of-the-art graphics on three different stages, grand sets of Ashram and Jungle along with replica sets of the grand Mahakal Temple and 150 artists brought the Mahanatya alive.

Vikramaditya was not only a warrior but also a just and popular ruler. “Betal Pachchisi” and “Sinhasan Battisi” are full of his wise justice stories. Navratnas like Kalidas, Varahamihir, Dhanvantari became symbols of knowledge and culture in his court. This era is a testimony to the ancient prosperity of India’s science, literature and astronomy.

The softness of the voice touched the heart

After the memorable and grand presentation of the great drama “Samrat Vikramaditya”, a mesmerizing presentation of smooth music was given by the famous singer Ms. Sneha Shankar and friends, Mumbai. There was such melodiousness and intimacy in his singing, as if there was a story in every note, an emotion in every beat. The melodious vocal waves immersed the atmosphere in an ocean of emotions. The listeners kept listening mesmerized – sometimes the softness of the voice touched the heart, and sometimes the depth of the rhythm made the mind happy. There was musical magic in his voice, which had a wonderful combination of sensitivity, dedication and spontaneity – a performance that resonated in the minds of the listeners for a long time.

This folk dance of Bundelkhand is performed in the month of Kartik from Amavasya to Purnima. Gangaur dance was presented by Anuja Joshi and friends, Khandwa. Gangaur Nimari is a lyrical poem of public life. Matki dance was presented by Swati Ukhle and friends, Ujjain. Women of villages of Malwa perform Matki dance on various occasions. In the program, a congratulatory dance was presented by Arvind Yadav and his partner, Sagar. In Bundelkhand region, congratulatory dance is performed on births, marriages and festivals. Next sequence, Ghasiyabaja dance was presented by Lal Bahadur Ghasi and his friends. This is a traditional dance and a means of livelihood especially for the Ghasi caste living in remote rural areas of Surguja district. After this, Gond tribal dance Gunnoorsai was presented by Sandeep Uike and his partner, Seoni.
