New Delhi: Supreme Court put stay on UGC Equity Regulations 2026. The Supreme Court said that the rules are vague and there could be a possibility of misuse. Lawyer Satyam Pandey said that if these rules are implemented, new students may have to face ragging and caste discrimination during admission in universities. Students will be left with no option to complain. The Supreme Court has directed the Central Government to consult more people in this matter. The next hearing will be held on March 19.
