The Indian Pickleball League has officially kicked off at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall, New Delhi and fresh off standout performances at the IPA Nationals, Mumbai brothers, Arjun and Aditya Singh, are stepping onto a much bigger stage as they debut for the Bangalore Blasters in the IPBL 2025. The young pair, aged just 17 and 15, have quickly become two of the most talked-about rising talents in the sport.
The brothers impressed at the IPA Nationals, with Arjun clinching the men’s singles open title and the duo finishing runners-up in men’s doubles. Speaking ahead of their first league outing in New Delhi, Arjun said the nationals gave him a strong boost, “I’m really grateful. Winning singles felt great. I lost in the men’s doubles final, but I worked very hard after that, and I’m ready to give my 100% here.”
While adapting to Delhi’s colder temperatures, the pair joked about one challenge they didn’t expect. “We’re enjoying the weather but not the air quality,” Aditya Said
While acknowledging this big opportunity, Aditya thanked the association, “We’re grateful to the Indian Pickleball Association for giving us this chance. Hopefully, we’ll win this title for Bangalore Blasters.” Aditya noted.
The brothers have trained together for years in Mumbai and previously represented the same Maharashtra team that won the IPA team championship. Now, playing side-by-side for the Bangalore Blasters in a professional league has brought new motivation.
Aditya, who arrived straight from winning the Goa Open doubles title, said the team has prepared intensely, “We’ve worked very hard. We’re ready to face all the teams, Hopefully the results go our way. The league is just beginning, and we hope it gets much bigger in the future.”
“Our Parents Have Supported Us Always”
Their family, they said, has been overjoyed by their rapid rise. “Our parents have supported us always. Because of them, we’re standing here,” Aditya said, adding that their mother will be present in the stadium to watch their matches.
Inside the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall, the mood among the teams has been upbeat. The brothers praised the atmosphere and the professional setup at the Indira Gandhi Stadium complex. With six players representing each franchise, the Blasters’ preparations have been intense.
“Our coach, Dheeran sir and Kanishk bhai have helped us a lot. The owners are very supportive. The setup is great, and everyone is practising hard,” Arjun noted.
The brothers prefer indoor courts-a contrast to the outdoor setup they played on at the Nationals. “Outdoors, the wind affects the ball. Indoors is more controlled, and we both love it,” they said, calling the IPBL court slower but pointing out the “power spots” that favour aggressive play.
Pickleball As Professional Career
Economically, too, the league marks a turning point for the youngsters. With contracts now part of the growing pickleball ecosystem, both see opportunities but remain grounded.
“I’m in 12th grade studying commerce,” Aditya said. “We’re happy with the money, but studies come first.”
Arjun added that their school supports their schedule, “We manage studies along with pickleball. The school helps when we miss classes.”
As there is youth, momentum, and a strong family backing behind them, the Singh brothers now turn their focus to delivering for the Bangalore Blasters as the IPBL season kicks off. “All the hard work is done,” they said. “Now it’s time to perform.”
