West Bengal Weather Forecast: As per the Alipore Meteorological Department, rain activity will continue in South Bengal. Kolkata will witness light to moderate rain, however, no separate warning has been issued in this regard. The weather body has issued an alert for heavy to very heavy rain in North Bengal districts this week. A warning has also been issued for the fishermen as North Bay of Bengal is likely to remain turbulent over the next two days.
“The monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Faridkot, Ludhiana, Najibabad, Shahjahanpur, Balia, Jalpaiguri and thence east-northeastwards to Arunachal Pradesh. Under the presence of above meteorological conditions and strong moisture incursion from the Bay of Bengal, widespread light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall activity is very likely over some districts of North Bengal,” RMC, Kolkata, stated in its bulletin on August 10.

North Bengal Weather
North Bengal districts will experience heavy rain activity over the next few days. The weather body has issued an alert for intense showers in Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, Alipurduar and Cooch Behar from Monday to Wednesday.
Heavy rain is also expected in North Dinajpur on Tuesday, and in Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar on Thursday. The weather body has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, Alipurduar for three days.
