How to Check Name Online in Voter List: So far, more than 58 lakh names have been removed from the voters’ list under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Election Commission (EC) in West Bengal. Under this process, draft electoral rolls of Bengal and some other states and union territories will be released soon. The publication of draft rolls is considered to mean the end of the enumeration phase. This then begins the claims and objections process, which includes hearing and verification. Facts about SIR Draft Electoral Rolls
The draft rolls of West Bengal, Rajasthan, Goa, Puducherry and Lakshadweep will be published soon. Draft Rolls will be available both online and physical. You can see these on the website of the state CEO or DEO. The schedule of the SIR process was announced on 27 October and the process started from 4 November. The final rolls will be released on February 14, 2026. The Election Commission has directed all CEOs and DEOs to make hard copies of the draft rolls available to all recognized political parties, so that the entire process remains transparent.
What to do if your name is not in the draft rolls?
- If you do not find your name in the Draft Electoral Rolls, submit a claim or objection to the Election Commission within the deadline.
- Fill Form 6 (Voter Registration Form).
- Along with this, submit Annexure IV (Declaration Form) and identity-residence proof documents.
- Submit it online at voters.eci.gov.in or through ECINET mobile app.
- You can also submit it offline to BLO (Booth Level Officer).

You can check by visiting the official website voters.eci.gov.in or the website of the state CEO. Apart from this, hard copy is available with the BLO at the booth level. You can search by name and EPIC number.
Why are SIR Draft Roles important?
Draft rolls are not the final stage of voter enrollment and verification. This simply signals the end of the enumeration phase. This will be followed by a process of claims and objections, where voters can file objections against adding, correcting or deleting their names. The purpose of this process is to update and make the voter list transparent, so that all eligible voters can participate in the elections.
