Hyderabad: Ordinary citizens from India are caught in the crossfire as tensions persist across West Asia.
A man from Rajanna Siricilla district of Telangana was reportedly injured in an attack on Abu Dhabi International Airport.
‘Ínjured due to Iranian attacks on Abu Dhabi airport’:
N Rajeswara Rao, who was working in the airport housekeeping section, was injured in the attack. In a video released online, his brother N Rama Rao has appealed to the state government to help bring his brother back as he is in a serious condition.
“My brother has been working at Abu Dhabi airport for the last 4 years. He sustained injuries as he was at work during the attack. His condition is serious. I am asking Telangana government to make every effort to bring my brother back.”
His father Prabhakar Rao said that his son was injured during work hours. “He spoke to us over video call but he’s not showing us injuries. I want him to return home soon.”
He further said that he went to Abu Dhabi in search of work and better livelihood and has been supporting his family through his job.
Rajeswara Rao is from Pothireddypally, from where a large number of people go to Gulf for their livelihood.
Abu Dhabi Airports resume operations:
On Thursday, March 5, Abu Dhabi Airports has announced resumption of limited flight operations at Zayed International Airport after assessing safety protocols and operational capabilities, Reuters reported.
