‘We’ll come to Mumbai’: Right-Wing leader issues strong warning to filmmakers targeting Sanatan Dharma

New Delhi: Kshatriya Karni Sena chief, Dr Raj Shekhawat, issued a stern warning to the filmmakers, who targeted ‘Sanatan Dharma’ and hurt religious and community sentiments. Shekhawat warned the filmmakers that if they harm sentiments, then the Kshatriya Karni Sena will teach them a lesson and will confront them at their residences in Mumbai.

The right-wing outfit leader raised his voice after controversy erupted for the upcoming movies Yadav Ji Ki Love Story and Ghooskhor Pandat. He accused the filmmakers of disrespecting social groups and faith, news agency PTI reported.

“The time has come to enter the homes of producers and directors who make films on our deities and culture and teach them a lesson,” the Kshatriya Karni Sena chief stated after offering prayers at the Chamunda temple in Hallu Sarai.

Shekhawat accused the filmmakers of having earlier targeted Kshatriya and Brahmin communities, and now they added the Yadav community to insult on the big screens. He thought that such movies aren’t being made under the guise of freedom of expression, but rather they are misleading the youth and hurting the religious sentiments of a particular community.

“I am directing Karni Sena workers to be ready. We will soon go to Mumbai and take action against such filmmakers in their own home,” he added.

Both movies under the radar

The Yadav Ji Ki Love Story is releasing on February 27, but the protest from the Yadav community has already started. Similarly, the Netflix film Ghooskhor Pandat, starring Manoj Bajpayee, just revealed the title of the movie and faced a legal challenge over it as the Pandit community showed anger over the title of the movie.

Shekhawat announced a movement in Delhi on March 8 over opposing the new UGC equity regulation and demanding that the new rule be repealed. Additionally, his group is in touch with MPs for support in the government to withdraw the regulation.

Whereas, a case has been registered against the producer, director and lead actors of the Yadav Ji Ki Love Story
