Tusshar Kapoor is back on the big screen with Welcome To The Jungle. He plays the role of Akshay Kumar’s manager in the film. The Ahmed Khan directorial has 34 actors, who are seen contributing to the story in their own ways. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Tusshar revealed that the elaborate cast of the film has been justified by the director. A first for Bollywood, the actor hopes it does well at the box office in the long run. Kapoor believes Welcome To The Jungle will be a pathbreaking film for future generations.

Talking to Zoom exclusively, Tusshar said, has got a huge cast, and I’d like to reiterate the fact that Ahmed, who is the director of the film, has justified this cast, for this story and for this subject, and that’s a first for Bollywood. I think we haven’t seen such a big cast in a comedy in a story that goes into a jungle. So, it is going to be pathbreaking hopefully and hopefully does well.”

Tusshar Kapoor believes PR can’t sideline actors in multistarrers
further reacted to whether ensemble films put one actor under the spotlight, pushing the rest behind. He denied the notion, saying multistarrers are fair to all those who work in them. “Eventually, I think the audience sees the film for what it is and word of mouth nikalke aata hai, jisne jaisa kaam kiya hai. I don’t believe koi kisike PR se kisko sideline kar sakta hai. Publicity is there, but eventually, when the movie is out, everybody gets their due,” Tusshar said.

He added, “In all films, there is a central character, and there is a hero. Most of the commercial films do, and it’s quite justified if there is somebody who’s more prominent in the film gets more mileage. That’s how movies are, and there is somebody who’s drawing more of the audience into the theatres, who has that bankable quality, who is probably on top of his game, and why shouldn’t that person get more mileage? That’s business, and that is how we market our films from the very beginning, but as performers, as characters and as part of the movie, the ensemble also gets its due depending on how you work and how you have performed, how hard you have worked and how much the audience loves you. The audience is the litmus test. They are the final barometer.”

According to Sacnilk, Welcome To The Jungle has earned Rs 18.75 crore net in India on Friday. It also includes Rs 3.75 crore from the paid previews on Thursday. On Friday, the film earned Rs 15 crore.
