Shruti from Kozhikode lost 14 kg weight in 3 months. With strict diet and gym workout, he reduced his weight from 63 to 49 kg. Giving up fast food and rice, he has now also won a gold medal in a fitness competition.

Kozhikode (Kerala): Wrong lifestyle, increasing trend of fast food and lack of exercise are some of the reasons due to which weight increases rapidly. Many people adopt different types of diet plans to lose weight. Today we will tell you about Shruti, a resident of Kakkad, Kozhikode. We are telling about a person who lost 14 kg weight in three months. Shruti tells that initially her weight was 63 kg, which is now 49 kg. He started his diet and workout in August 2025. By September itself his weight had reached 55 kg. For this he completely gave up fast food, junk food and soft drinks. He had also completely removed rice, tea and coffee from his diet. Shruti says, “After pregnancy, my weight suddenly increased a lot. That’s when I decided that I had to lose weight.”

‘Followed strict diet and workout’

Shruti told that she lost her weight only through proper diet and workout. He believes that it is better to go to the gym and work out rather than exercising at home. He said, “Home workout reduces weight only to a certain extent, but by going to the gym and working out, you can lose weight in a healthy way.”

Losing weight has also affected his self-confidence. Shruti says, “When I was overweight, I was not able to wear clothes of my choice. But now it is not so. My confidence has increased a lot.” She also says that diet is different according to everyone’s body.

She used to eat oats for breakfast, which was mixed with chia seeds, flax seeds and fruits. She also took egg white along with it. For lunch, instead of rice, she used to eat chapatti, salad, cucumber and chicken or paneer.

In the evening, she used to have wheat bread, almonds and egg white for her pre-workout meal. Shruti tells that she is getting very good response from everyone on losing weight. Many people ask him how he lost so much weight. She goes to Malikadavu’s ‘Elevate Fitness’ gym, where her trainers Dipin and Nijesh guide her on the right diet and workout plan.

Shruti believes that 90% diet and 10% exercise plays a role in weight loss. She says, “The body is ours, so we have to take the decision to lose weight. Don’t be lazy at all. Women’s weight especially increases after pregnancy. They can start with light exercises and then it is better to go to the gym.”

Shruti also recently participated in a competition of the National Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (NBFF). V.K.N of Thrissur. He performed brilliantly in the 4th NBFF Mr. India Bodybuilding and Physique Championship held at Menon Indoor Stadium. Shruti won the gold medal (1st position) in the ‘Moms Fitness’ category and the silver medal (2nd position) in the ‘Women’s Fitness’ category.
