PM Modi on US Tariff: Prime Minister Modi has made a big statement a day before the US imposed 50% tariff on goods imported from India. He said that he would not compromise on the interests of farmers, cattle rearers and small industries under any circumstances.
PM Modi in Gujrat: US President Donald Trump has officially announced an official announcement to impose an additional 25% tariff on India. This new tariff will be applicable from 12 noon on 27 August 2025. Now India will have to pay a total of 50% tariffs to America. India has taken a tough stand against this decision. The government says that the US is making economic pressure, but India will not bow down to it and will remain on its decisions.
PM Modi said this before the tariff is implemented
Prime Minister Modi said this in a meeting held in Nicole area of Ahmedabad that he would not compromise on the interests of farmers, cattlemen and small industries under any circumstances. He also said that external pressure may increase on the government, but he will tolerate it. This statement came before the US imposed 50% tariff on India. Prime Minister Modi said that during this difficult time he considers the interests of small industries, farmers and cattle rearers first. He said, “My government will never compromise your interests. No matter how much pressure comes, we will bear it, but your interests will never be harmed.”

Prime Minister also attacked Congress
Modi said that on August 27, the US has fixed the last date for imposing 50% tariff on goods coming from India. The Prime Minister said in the meeting that India has worked towards becoming indigenous and strong nations following the path of Lord Krishna and Mahatma Gandhi. Referring to Operation Sindoor, he said that it is a symbol of bravery and perseverance of the country, targeting terrorists in Pakistan. He said that today the terrorists and their guard cannot hide anywhere. The Prime Minister also attacked the Congress and said that who ruled the country for 60-65 years and made India depend on abroad and made import scams. He alleged that the Congress also ignored Mahatma Gandhi’s principles.
