New Delhi: Vaibahav Suryavanshi got involved in a heated exchange with Pakistan pacer Ali Raza during the final of the U19 Asia Cup 2025 at the ICC Cricket Academy in Dubai on Sunday, December 21. Pakistan hammered India by 191 runs in the final to clinch their second U19 Asia Cup title. Things got heated up during India’s run chase in the summit clash.

In pursuit of a huge target of 348 runs, India got off to a disastrous start as they lost opener Ayush Mhatre cheaply on 2 after he was dismissed by Raza in the 3rd over of India’s innings. Suryavanshi got off to a blistering start and played some big shots, however, he too perished cheaply after scoring 26 off 10 balls, trying to continue his attacking game.

Raza got rid of Suryavanshi in the 5th over of India’s chase to bag his second wicket in the game and erupted into a passionate celebration. The pacer gave a fiery send-off to Suryavanshi, whose wicket was an important one for Pakistan. The Indian batter didn’t hold back and responded with a controversial foot gesture to Raza.

Suryavanshi pointed his finger towards the bowler and pointed towards his feet while exchanging a few words with Raza. A clip of his gesture to the Pakistan pacer went viral on social media, sparking a debate as many fans condemned his behaviour.
