Pawan Sahu, who lives in Sagar, feeds his family by selling vegetables from his hand cart every day. They are not educated, nor do they understand the government system. On Saturday, when his wife’s health suddenly started deteriorating, Pawan did what every helpless person does—knocked on doors, folded his hands and sought help from neighbors, requested to call an ambulance. According to local people, no one even called.
