Mumbai: A retaining wall behind Omega High School in Bhandup’s Khindipada area collapsed on Tuesday evening after a large crack developed on a 50-foot hill, bringing down five houses along with it. No injuries were reported as the affected homes had been evacuated in time.
The incident occurred in a densely populated section of the hillside. Locals said the crack appeared earlier in the day and widened by evening, triggering the collapse. Some residents recorded the moment on their mobile phones, capturing visuals of the debris sliding down.
