WATCH: Ousmane Dembele’s goal gives PSG 1-0 win against Arsenal in UCL semi-finals first leg

In the first leg of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) semi-finals at the Emirates Stadium in London, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated Arsenal 1-0, thanks to a fourth-minute goal from Ousmane Dembele.

With that, Arsenal have a tough task at hand to overcome a one-goal deficit against PSG at the Parc des Princes in Paris next week, especially since both these teams are chasing UCL glory for the first-time in history.

It was quite a balanced match between two well-rounded sides, but Ousmane Dembele was the difference-maker on the night for PSG against Arsenal in London. In the fourth minute, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia picked up the ball while being left completely unmarked before he surged forward into the Arsenal final third and did the cut back to Ousmane Dembele, who put the ball into the back of the net with a first-time strike.

Arsenal had five shots on target to four from PSG, but failed to convert any of their chances into goals, which is the reason why they will have to turn the deficit next week. In the post-match interview, Mikel Arteta, Arsenal manager, was quoted as saying, ‘If you want to win the Champions League final, you have to do something special. We’re going to have to do something special in Paris to be there.’

After that, Mikel Arteta stated that his team needs to do ‘something special’ to earn a spot in the final of the UCL after they failed to score a goal in a home match in the competition for the better part of last 10 years.
