With the five-match series for the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy currently leveled at 1-1, the two sides, England and India are locking horns in the third Test, underway at the Lord’s in London.
The hosts, Ben Stokes-led England won the opening Test of the series at Headingley, Leeds, the Indian cricket team bounced back in style to claim their first win at Edgbaston.
With both teams winning a game each, the third Test has been an absolute thriller thus far. After India bundled out England at the score of 387, courtesy a , the hosts also dismantled the visitors at the same score. The third day ended with England taking a two-run lead after an over was bowled.

After a standout performance with the ball on Day 2 of the ongoing Lord’s Test, appeared for the post-day press conference. As he was addressing the presser after getting on to the Lord’s Honours Board, a phone suddenly rang. As he was responding to a question by one of the journalists present in the room, he quickly responded seeing a call, “Somebody’s wife is calling. But I will not pick it up, I will leave it that way.”

Speaking of the ongoing Test, after winning the toss and electing to bat first, England posted 387 runs, courtesy a 104 off 199 from Joe Root and fifty-plus scores from Jamie Smith (51) and Brydon Carse (56). Once against Jasprit Bumrah was the star with the ball, picking five wickets in his 27-over spell. In reply, India too put 387 runs on the board, courtesy a 100 from KL Rahul and 70-plus scores from Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja.
Chris Woakes picked three wickets, Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes scalped two each whereas Brydon Carse and Shoaib Bashir finished with a wicket apiece. After restricting India at the same score, England had put two-run lead at the end of day’s play with Zak Crawley (2*) and Ben Duckett (0*) in the middle.
