In the 7th match of the Salem Spartans between Trichy Grand Cholas, Davidson once again demonstrated his death-bowling prowess. Bowling for his side towards the end of the innings, he removed three key wickets that prevented Salem Spartans from making big scores.

In the 18th over, V Athisayaraj Davidson bowled two flawless yorkers. First, he dismissed H Kumar with a sharply delivered ball at his toes, Kumar could not get his bat down quickly enough. On the final delivery of the same over, he delivered the same ball to Sunny Sandhu, who missed it entirely and had his stumps shattered.
His third one arrived in the final ball of the innings. On this occasion, he attempted a yorker but delivered a low full toss instead. Nidhish Rajagopal drove with soft hands and handed long on an easy catch.
Due to Davidson’s late spurt, Salem Spartans were unable to breach 180 runs. Although, Trichy Grand Cholas failed to chase the target, the performance of Davidson was something that brought the positives for the side.
