New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pacer Eshan Malinga continued his impressive run with the ball in his side’s clash against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Tuesday, April 21. Malinga produced a game-changing over, picking up two wickets in two balls during DC’s mammoth 243-run chase to turn the game in his side’s favour.
The Sri Lankan pacer dismissed a well-set Nitish Rana before cleaning up the dangerous David Miller on a duck to put SRH on top. The dismissals took place in the 11th over of DC’s run chase. With 107/2 on the board after the 10th over, DC were looking in decent control in the 243-run chase, but Malinga’s decisive over changed the course of the match.
The right-arm pacer dismissed Rana on 57 off 30 balls as the left-hander got caught by centurion Abhishek Sharma. Rana lofted a fullish delivery from the pacer but failed to get the timing as the ball went up in the air. Abhishek charged from long-on to complete a great catch, handing SRH their third wicket in the game.
Malinga didn’t stop there as he produced a ripper to clean up Miller on the next ball. He bowled a peach of a delivery, which rattled the DC batter’s stumps after taking a slight edge off his bat. Miller was left stunned as his defence was breached comfortably, handing him a Golden Duck after his heroics in DC’s chase against RCB in their last game.
