A hilarious incident took place during match number 11 of Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2025 between Dindigul Dragons and Madurai Panthers at Salem Cricket Foundation Stadium on June 14. Although Dindigul registered a dominant nine-wicket win over Madurai, there players made a hilarious blunder during the second last ball of the first innings while attempting multiple run-outs.

Dindigul Dragons pacer Ganeshan Periyaswamy bowled a wide yorker delivery which was sliced through covers by Gurjapneet Singh, Dindigul skipper , who was placed at covers collected the ball and threw it towards the non-striker’s end. However, Ashwin couldn’t make a direct hit and Periyaswamy also couldn’t collect the ball on time. This allowed Madurai batters to steal a bonus run.

After Ashwin’s throw, the deep square leg fielder collected the ball, and threw it towards the striker’s end which was again missed by wicketkeeper Baba Indirajith. After that, another throw was made which was again missed and Dindigul Dragons hilariously missed three runout chances on a single delivery. Ashwin also looked disappointed with the series of events.
