A major case of violation of prohibition law and negligence by a BSAP constable sent from Katihar to handle the security arrangements at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting held at Ulav Airport in Begusarai on October 24 has come to light.
When the PM returned after giving a speech, the Havildar gulped down liquor and fell unconscious on the ground near the main gate of the Engineering College, where his battalion was located. When the soldiers started being counted in the evening, Havildar Mohd. Anjars were not found.
When he was searched, he was found unconscious. On the instructions of BSAP Company Commander, his medical examination was done at Sadar Hospital, preparations were made to arrest him at the same time and take him to Singhaul police station.
Meanwhile, he escaped on the pretext of defecation. After this he did not even return to his company. Finally, after about a month, the Commander of Katihar Bihar Special Armed Force 7 sent a letter to Begusarai SP requesting appropriate legal action against the fugitive Havildar.
Then, on the instructions of SP Manish, on November 21, company commander Ram Vilas arrested BSAP Havildar Mohd. at Singhaul police station. An FIR has been lodged against Anjar. He has also been suspended for drinking alcohol while on duty and absconding.

He along with other soldiers was sent to handle the arrangements for the Prime Minister’s program in Begusarai from 22 to 24 October.
