Naga Vamsi came on board to distribute the Telugu dubbed version of Jr NTR’s Bollywood debut, War 2, in Andhra Pradesh. He acquired the rights under Sithara Entertainments.
Amid the film’s underwhelming box office run in Hindi and Telugu, netizens flooded X with backlash for the producer. After getting trolled for hyping the spy thriller before its release, Vamsi broke his silence and answered naysayers.

On X, Vamsi tweeted in Telugu, which loosely translates to, “It feels like everyone is missing me a lot..With gripping narratives about Vamsi this and Vamsi that, things are in full swing…No worries, there are good writers on X. Sorry to disappoint you all, but that time hasn’t come yet… at least another 10-15 years to go. At the cinemas… for the cinema, always! See you all with our next outing #MassJathara, Very soon!”

He added, “When you walk out of the theatres, you will feel proud. We must show ten times the love we showed for Devara. The Telugu version must collect at least 1 rupee more than the Hindi version’s nett collection. This is your responsibility.”
Vamsi further shared, “NTR has made us proud so many times. Our responsibility is to make him proud with War 2. I will never ask you to watch any movie in the future if you feel otherwise.”

War 2, a highly anticipated spy thriller, received negative reviews when it released on August 14. Co-starring Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani, the Ayan Mukerji-directorial is underperforming at the box office. Worldwide, the film has crossed the Rs 300 crore club. War 2’s budget is reported to be Rs 400 crore, making it the most expensive film in the YRF Spyverse.
