Vrushakarma’s Mind-Blowing Cave Set Took 50 Days To Build

A massive cave set built over 50 days has become one of the key attractions of Vrushakarma. The film’s team released a video inviting media representatives to visit the set created for the upcoming mythological thriller. They shared their experiences during the media interaction.

Named Brahmagiri Cave, the elaborate set consists of three chambers and plays a significant role in the narrative. According to director Karthik Dandu, the team deliberately chose to construct the cave rather than recreate it entirely through computer-generated imagery.

“The set defines the story, so we did not want to depend on CG. It is one of the main elements of the narrative,” Karthik explained.

The director revealed that the production designer first presented a miniature model after the story was finalised. The team then worked on developing the concept into a detailed physical structure. With approximately 20 minutes of the film set inside the cave, the location demanded extensive planning and attention to detail.

To achieve the desired authenticity, the team conducted location recce and studied several documentaries before finalising the setting. Karthik also emphasised that the film moves beyond the usual treasure-hunting adventure format, combining thrilling moments with strong emotional content.

Naga Chaitanya, who plays a treasure hunter, was equally impressed by the scale of the production. “When I saw Nagendra’s set for the first time, I was completely blown away. I have never attempted such a larger-than-life character before, and this is my first experience with the mythological thriller genre,” he said.

The actor also spoke about the extensive preparation behind the film, revealing that Karthik narrated the story to him over seven hours. He said he had never dedicated so much time to working with a director on a single project before, adding that the team invested heavily in pre-production and research.

Chaitanya further praised the film’s planned climax and expressed confidence that Vrushakarma would outperform Thandel at the box office. He described the upcoming film as a much bigger production.

Meenakshi Chaudhary said that much of the story takes place inside the cave and recalled having a wonderful experience shooting on the elaborate set.

With its detailed production design, extensive groundwork and a story that combines adventure with emotion, Vrushakarma aims to create a distinctive cinematic world. The movie is slated for release on December 4.
