The pricing of Volvo India has officially stated the price of its all-new entry-level electric SUV, the EX30, and this move is a major milestone on the EV path of the brand in the Indian market.
The EX30 will be priced at one model and its cost has been fixed at 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom) to customers who pre-book until October 19, 2025. The SUV is going to be sold at 41 lakh post this date. The first deliveries will be within the first week of November and units will be locally assembled at the manufacturing facility of Volvo at Hosakote, Bengaluru.
The Volvo EX30 will appeal to a broader range of people with premium electric mobility at a fairly affordable price. Notably, the initial price of the SUV is below the remarkable competitors like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the BMW iX1 LWB, which makes it one of the most competitive luxury electric vehicles in its category.
Regarding specifications, the India-spec EX30 will be provided only in a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) format as opposed to the markets in the rest of the world where the all-wheel-drive variants can also be found. The EX30, which is about a bit smaller than the EX40, follows the same design language as Volvo, which features smooth lines, a high-tech interior, and advanced safety systems that the brand is known to be offering the world over.
The EX30 feels like a serious contender in the luxury EV segment that is starting to develop in India with its aggressive pricing, high-end features, and the focus of the Volvo brand on safety and sustainability. The Volvo EX30 is one of the most impressive options offered to customers who want to have a sophisticated, small, and technologically advanced electric SUV.
