Volkswagen India has changed the prices and variant list of its Virtus sedan. Prices of some variants have been reduced, while most other variants have become expensive and two GT variants have been discontinued.
hGerman car brand Volkswagen India has released some updates to its existing product portfolio. The company has made changes in the prices and variant list of the Virtus line-up. If you are planning to buy this sedan, then you must know about its new prices and variants.
According to a report by CarWale, prices of the entry-level Comfortline 1.0 MT and top-of-the-line Chrome 1.0 AT have been reduced by ₹70,201 and ₹3,155, respectively. The special thing is that these are the only variants whose prices have reduced, whereas the prices of all other variants have increased significantly. The company has discontinued two variants – GT Plus Chrome 1.5 MT and GT Plus Sport 1.5 MT.
The price of Virtus 1.0 MT GT Line has increased by ₹45,236, while the prices of Highline Plus 1.0 MT and Highline Plus 1.0 AT have increased by ₹40,541 and ₹39,339 respectively. Prices for the Highline 1.0 MT, GT Line 1.0 AT, GT Plus Chrome 1.5 DSG, Highline 1.0 AT, and GT Plus Sport 1.5 DSG variants have increased by ₹29,536, ₹29,034, ₹25,085, ₹24,032, and ₹21,065, respectively.
Lastly, customers buying the Volkswagen Virtus Topline Chrome 1.0 MT will now have to pay ₹5,642 more than the old price. After this update, the ex-showroom price of Virtus now ranges between ₹10.50 lakh to ₹19 lakh.

This car is available in 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI EVO engine options. The 1.0L TSI engine is a 999cc 3-cylinder engine and the 1.5L TSI EVO engine is a 1498cc 4-cylinder engine.
