These modules have shown the entire visit from 1905 to the indigenous movement from 1905 and the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s self -sufficient India. Former Rajya Sabha member Tarlochan Singh has written a letter to NCERT and suggested that the credit for starting the indigenous movement should be given to Baba Ram Singh. Baba Ram Singh started the Kuka movement in 1857 and called for boycotting British goods, adopting indigenous products and promoting social reforms such as vegetarianism and widow marriage.
