VLF Mobster Launch: VLF (or Velocifero) has released a teaser image of the upcoming Mobster scooter, confirming that the model in question will be launched in India on September 25. The scooter, which has been on sale in European markets with a choice of either a 125cc or 180cc engine, will join the Tennis electric scooter in the company’s India line-up. The latter features a 2.5kWh battery pack and a 1,500W hub motor; range and top speed are rated at 130km and 65km/h, respectively.
For those unaware, VLF products are available in India through MotoHaus, part of the KAW group from Kolhapur. For that reason, the VLF Tennis is being locally assembled at the brand’s facility in Kolhapur. We expect the Mobster to take the same route.
VLF Mobster: Design
Visually, the VLF Mobster is a 125-180cc scooter sporting an aggressive front apron design, which includes a twin-headlamp setup (with an LED DRL), a tall visor, and exposed handlebars. The rear section stands out with sleek taillamps, while the sides feature prominent body panels with lots of exposed hardware. Four colour options are on offer in the international market: red, yellow, grey, and white.

VLF Mobster: Features
Expected features on the upcoming scooter include a 5-inch colour TFT display, a front dashcam, switchable ABS, and a USB charging port. The display will likely support mobile screen mirroring for calls/messages, music controls, and navigation. Hardware-wise, we expect a telescopic fork and double shock absorbers. 12-inch wheels with premium tyres are on the cards too.
VLF Mobster: Engine
While the international market offers two engine options, it remains to be seen which engine option India will get. The 125cc mill makes 11.9bhp and 11.7 N · m of torque, while the 180cc is tuned to produce 17.7bhp and 15.7Nm.
Upon launch, the VLF Mobster will go against the Suzuki Avenis 125, Yamaha Aerox 155, and the TVS Ntorq 125.
