Vivo Y300 GT Launch Date Confirmed: Expected to Feature MediaTek Dimensity 8400 SoC and 7,620 mAh Battery

The Vivo Y300 GT is set to launch in China on May 9 at 10am local time (7:30am IST). This announcement was made by the company through a Weibo post.

The smartphone is described as a “durable audio-visual trio” and will be available in black and champagne gold colours.

The Vivo Y300 GT’s design closely resembles the iQOO Z10 Turbo series, which debuted recently. It features a distinctive “squircle” rear camera module with two sensors and a ring-like LED flash. The power button and volume rocker are positioned on the right side of the device.

Vivo Y300 GT Specifications

A teaser image on TMall reveals that the Vivo Y300 GT will sport a flat display with slim bezels, a slightly thicker chin, and a centre-aligned hole-punch cutout. It is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 SoC, coupled with a substantial 7,620mAh battery supporting 90W wired fast charging.

The upcoming Vivo Y300 GT might share similarities with the base iQOO Z10 Turbo model. If this holds true, it could feature a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 main sensor, accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 16-megapixel front camera. Additionally, it may boast a 6.78-inch 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display with SGS Low Blue Light and Low Flicker certifications.

Previous Launches in the Vivo Y Series

Earlier this year, Vivo introduced several models in its Y series lineup. The Vivo Y300 and Vivo Y300 Pro were launched in China in September and December 2024, respectively. More recently, the company unveiled the Vivo Y300 Pro+ and the Vivo Y300t variants.

The details shared suggest that the Vivo Y300 GT could be a rebranded version of the iQOO Z10 Turbo. This model was launched alongside its Pro variant not long ago. The similarities between these models indicate potential shared features and specifications.

The anticipation surrounding the Vivo Y300 GT is growing as its launch date approaches. With its promising specifications and design elements reminiscent of recent releases, it aims to capture consumer interest in China’s competitive smartphone market.
