The long-delayed Megastar Chiranjeevi starrer Vishwambhara is finally back in the spotlight with the announcement fans have been eagerly waiting for. Putting an end to months of speculation, the makers have officially locked the film’s theatrical release date.
The socio fantasy adventure is set to hit theatres on October 16, 2026, as a Dussehra festive release. The date also indicates that the makers are confident about the film’s prospects despite the intense competition expected during the holiday season.
Interestingly, Vishwambhara is set to clash with Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, which is expected to arrive a day earlier on October 15, 2026. The rare face-off between two of Indian cinema’s biggest stars is already generating excitement, with both films eyeing a massive festive box office.
Directed by Vassishta, Vishwambhara stars Trisha as the female lead, while Kunal Kapoor plays the antagonist. The cast also includes Aashika Ranganath, Ramya Pasupuleti, Esha Chawla, and Ashrita Vemuganti Nanduri in pivotal roles. Produced by UV Creations, the film has music composed by M. M. Keeravaani.
