Mother made Muthusamy a cricketer
When Senuran Muthusamy was 11 years old, his father died. After this his mother left no stone unturned to make him a cricketer. Muthusamy’s mother first acquired technical knowledge of cricket for him and then made videos of her son. Muthusamy’s shortcomings were improved through those videos.
Virat was out
Senuran Muthusamy made his Test debut against India in 2019. He took the wicket of Virat Kohli in the Visakhapatnam Test. However, after losing the series in India, this player was dropped from the team. Muthusamy remained out of the South African team for four years and returned in the year 2023.
Muthusamy also used to do wicketkeeping
Muthusamy also used to keep wickets and was a left arm fast bowler. But due to a waist injury he had to become a spinner, after which his career changed. Muthusamy has also opened the batting. In the year 2017, he played an innings of 181 runs as an opener in domestic cricket.
