A shocking video has gone viral on social media showing a young man lying on railway tracks while a train passes directly over him. The clip begins with the unidentified individual smiling at the camera before kneeling down and lying flat on the tracks.
As the train speeds by, he remains completely still, and once it passes, he gets up and celebrates with the person filming.
The video, posted on X (formerly Twitter) by user Nidhi Ambedkar, has already garnered over 175,000 views and 3,500 likes, sparking widespread outrage.
Social media users reacted strongly to the footage, with one commenting, “Such reel creators must be jailed. These jokers are risking their lives and influencing others to do the same. Stupidity pro Max!” Others expressed concern in both sarcastic and serious tones, highlighting how such reckless behaviour endangers lives.
This incident is not the first of its kind. Just three months ago, a 21-year-old named Kamlesh from Tilwara village in Rajasthan’s Balotra district filmed himself lying face down between railway tracks while holding his phone as a train passed overhead. His 18-second stunt video went viral, after which Balotra police detained him.
Authorities and citizens alike have repeatedly condemned such dangerous stunts, warning that they not only risk the individual’s life but also pose a serious safety threat to railway operations. Critics argue that social media fame is driving people to attempt life-threatening acts, creating a disturbing trend that could influence others.
With videos like these continuing to circulate, calls are growing for stricter enforcement, stronger penalties, and awareness campaigns to deter such behaviour. Experts stress that while these stunts may seem thrilling to some, they highlight a dangerous disregard for public safety and the urgent need for education on the risks of railway trespassing.
