Viral video: JCB machine used to cool dal makhani leaves internet stunned

JCB machines are usually associated with construction sites, heavy lifting and digging work. But the internet has recently been left stunned after witnessing one being used for something entirely different — cooking.

A bizarre video that has now gone viral shows a JCB machine being used as a giant ladle to stir an enormous vessel of daal. The heavy-duty machine moves back and forth, continuously mixing the food, while onlookers record the unusual sight in disbelief.

The clip, originally posted on Instagram, has racked up over a million likes. Social media users had a field day with the strange experiment. While some found it hilarious, others expressed serious concerns about hygiene and safety. “Can’t defend anymore,” one user wrote, while another joked, “Taste increases when it mixes with grease.” A third simply said, “I can’t believe my eyes.”

This isn’t the first time a JCB machine has been repurposed in an unconventional way. Earlier this year, a wedding video from Madhya Pradesh went viral when a groom arrived at his wedding in a JCB. Instead of a car or a horse, around a dozen bulldozers formed part of his wedding procession, leaving guests and locals shocked.

Speaking to NDTV, the groom’s uncle, Ramkumar, explained, “These are Babaji’s bulldozers, and we thought of doing a different kind of bidaai. People usually use cars and helicopters, but we used bulldozers because, by the grace of God, we own some JCBs.”
