Nepal Gen Z Protests: Cabinet Committee on Security has been held on unrest in Nepal under the chairmanship of PM Narendra Modi. PM Modi has appealed to the people of Nepal to maintain peace. He has said that stability in Nepal is important for India.

Nepal Violence: The Government of India on Tuesday called a Cabinet Committee meeting on security to discuss the situation in Nepal. The meeting was held after Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned from the aerial survey of flood affected areas of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.

Stability in Nepal is very important for India

PM Modi posted on X,

Today, after returning from a tour of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, there was a detailed discussion about the events of Nepal in the Cabinet Committee on Security meeting. The violence in Nepal is heartbreaking. It was very painful to know that many youths have died in it. The stability, peace and prosperity of Nepal is very important for us. I appeal to all my siblings from Nepal to maintain peace.

Ministry of External Affairs said- keeping an eye on Nepal’s situation

Earlier, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Tuesday that India is closely monitoring the developments of Nepal. It is very sad to kill the youth. The Ministry of External Affairs said,

Our condolences and prayers are with the families of the dead. We wish the injured to recover soon. As a close friend and neighbor we hope that all the people concerned will be restrained and solve any issue through peaceful methods and interactions.

Government is not in Nepal, army came forward for security

A fierce protests began on Monday over 26 social media platforms being banned by the Nepal government. On Tuesday, Nepal Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli resigned. After this, news of President Ramchandra Paudel’s resignation was also reported. There is no government in Nepal at this time. The army has come forward to handle the security system.

Anger exploded against corruption

The anger of youth in Nepal has erupted against corruption. Thousands of people have taken to the streets of Kathmandu and other cities. They are accusing the government of large -scale corruption, rising inequality and neglect of economic opportunities for the youth of the country. According to the World Bank, more than one in five Nepali is living in poverty. The young unemployment rate is more than 22%.
