New Delhi: After a great debut in the Bharat Mobility Global Expo at the start of this year, Vin Fast Auto India, the Indian subsidiary of global electric vehicle VinFast, have officially opened bookings today for their premium electric SUVs, the VF7 and VR6, across the country. The models will be officially go on sale in August after the inauguration of the company’s factory in Thoothukudi, with deliveries to start after that.
Indian customers can reserve their preferred VinFast electric SUV both at the VinFast showroom or through the company’s website with a refundable booking amount of Rs 21,000. Both the VF8 and VF6 come with amazing real-world range on a single charge and will deliver a quality of global levels in terms of electric mobility that is tailored to suit Indian conditions.
The vehicles getting assembled locally in Thoothukudi just shows the brand’s commitment towards the Indian market and future EV production hub.

The VF7 is the electric SUV that comes with a spacious, premium interior with Level 2 ADAS, large touchscreens, connected car technology, signature LED lighting, panoramic glass roof and wireless charging. The VF6 comes with Level 2 ADAS as well as everyday practicality and smart driving.

The VF 6 and VF 7 represent our vision of bringing world-class EVs tailored to local needs, and we’re confident that Indian customers will find these models not only competitive but truly inspiring.”
For seamless ownership, VinFast have signed agreements with 13 dealer partners to establish 32 dealerships across 27 cities, having a strong sales, service and spares ecosystem. The initial set of dealerships with be in urban and emerging EV cities like Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Chennai, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Chandigarh and a host of other cities.
The company has also announced partnerships with RoadGrip, myTVS and Global Assure to create a trustworthy, across-the-country charging and after-sales service network. These strategic collaborations will offer real-time charging availability, AI-driven diagnostic and integrated digital platforms that will be able to support VinFast’s customer base and the fast growing EV infrastructure.
VinFast have also partnered with BatX Energies, who are leading Indian clean-tech company specialising in battery recycling, rare metal recovery and end-of-life battery reusing. This takes major steps in building a better battery value chain in India.
