Vince McMahon Hurt After WWE Excludes Him From Hulk Hogan Tribute Ceremony

Vince McMahon revealed he was upset after WWE left him out of a major Hulk Hogan tribute.

Vince McMahon has admitted to feeling disappointed after being left out of a significant WWE tribute to Hulk Hogan. The company has been honoring the late wrestling icon almost every week since his passing, but McMahon was notably absent from one of the most emotional moments.

Hulk Hogan, one of the biggest names in professional wrestling history, passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 71. Alongside McMahon, Hogan helped bring WWE to mainstream prominence in the 1980s, becoming a household name far beyond the squared circle.

Following his death, WWE’s creative team, led by Triple H, has consistently paid tribute to Hogan through special segments, including a ten-bell salute attended by stars past and present.

However, McMahon’s absence from the tribute sparked questions. In a clip from TMZ’s The Real Hulk Hogan documentary, the host pointed out that McMahon was not invited to the ten-bell salute despite decades of personal and professional ties with Hogan.

When asked if he had mixed feelings about the omission, McMahon acknowledged that it bothered him. “It struck me that way as well,” McMahon admitted, confirming his unhappiness over not being included.

Despite the public omission, McMahon still played a role in honoring Hogan privately. During a recent interview, wrestling veteran B. Brian Blair recalled McMahon speaking at Hogan’s funeral. Blair described how McMahon delivered a brief but powerful speech, lasting about two minutes.

“He spoke for I would say a minute, two minutes, probably two minutes, and he got everybody up for a standing ovation for Terry, and then he got the whole place going, ‘Hogan! Hogan! Hogan!’ It was awesome, Vince was awesome, he was excellent, and it was heartfelt from Vince,” Blair said.

While McMahon no longer holds an active role in WWE’s operations, speculation about his future in the wrestling industry continues. Reports suggest that he could make a return to the business in some capacity.
