  • According to the Panchang, the details of Ekadashi date of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month are as follows.

  • End of Ekadashi date: 13 February 2026.
  • Fast as per Udaya Tithi: Will be observed on Friday, 13th February.

How to do puja at home?

Wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean clothes. Sitting in front of the temple, take a pledge to observe Vijaya Ekadashi fast with water in your hand. Install the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu by spreading a yellow cloth on a post. Bathe the Lord with Ganga water and Panchamrit. Offer yellow flowers, fruits, incense, lamp and naivedya to Lord Vishnu. Remember, worship of Lord Vishnu is considered incomplete without Tulsi Dal. Read or listen to the fast story of Vijaya Ekadashi and at the end perform aarti with ghee lamp.

Some things should be taken special care of on the day of Ekadashi, otherwise the fast will not yield results. Cooking and eating rice at home is completely prohibited on the day of Ekadashi. According to the scriptures, eating rice on this day is considered equivalent to eating ‘insects’. Tulsi leaves should not be plucked on the day of Ekadashi. Pluck leaves and keep them a day before the puja. Keep your mind calm on this day. Do not speak ill of anyone or lie. Stay away from Tamasic foods like meat, alcohol, onion and garlic.

When to break the fast?

Parana of Vijaya Ekadashi fast is done on Dwadashi Tithi, before Parana, it is considered auspicious to worship Lord Vishnu and do charity.
