Vijay Kumar Malhotra: Senior Delhi BJP leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra died at the age of 94. He was the first president of Delhi BJP and played a big role in furthering the ideology of the party and the Sangh in Delhi since the time of Jana Sangh.
Vijay Kumar Malhotra: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Professor Vijay Kumar Malhotra died on Tuesday morning at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. He was born on 3 December 1931 in Lahore. V.K. Malhotra was a former Chief Executive Councilor and MP of Delhi. He was admitted to AIIMS for a few days, where he breathed his last at around 6 am today during treatment. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached his house and paid tribute. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva expressed grief and said that the life of Professor Vijay Kumar Malhotra has been an example of simplicity and public service. He played an important role in spreading and strengthening the ideology of the Sangh in Delhi since the Jana Sangh period itself.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, while sharing the post on social media X, wrote that Professor Vijay Kumar Malhotra has a special and important place in the history of Jana Sangh and BJP. He worked hard to strengthen the party in Delhi. He was widely honored due to the intense knowledge of the Indian Constitution. As an experienced MP, he worked continuously among the public. I am deeply saddened by his death. In this difficult time I express condolences to his family.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta wrote that the death of senior BJP leader and first president of Delhi BJP Professor Vijay Kumar Malhotra ji is very sad. From the time of the Jana Sangh to the establishment of the BJP, his life was an inspirational example of patriotism, organization capacity and discipline. As the first president of Delhi BJP, he strengthened the foundation of the organization and showed the path of service and dedication to thousands of workers. He prayed that God give peace to the departed soul and place them at his feet.
